FICTS festival will be held in Tehran

FICTS has announced that Iran edition of Sport Film Festival will be held in October.

To be held in the Iranian capital city of Tehran, the 11th edition of the Tehran International FICTS Festival, a sport filmfest, is slated for October 16-18, 2017.

Iran’s National Olympic and Paralympic Committee, Iran’s Ministry of Sport and Youth, IRIB and the Tehran Municipality are the organizations that cooperate with FICTS to hold the festival. 

The Federation Internationale Cinema Television Sportifs (FICTS) is an organization which is in charge for organizing the Sport Film Festival. The event is held to prepare the ground for competition among filmmakers who make films in the fields of sport.

Feature films, short films, documentaries, animations and TV shows, all in the field of sport, compete in their own category and the winners of each category will be admitted to the Milano FICTS Fest, which is scheduled to be held as the final phase of the World FICTS Challenge from November 15 to 20.

FICTS Federation Internationale Cinema Television Sportifs (FICTS) is a Federation of Sport Televisions and of images on screen. Founded in 1983, it recognised by International Olympic Committee (IOC) for which it promotes values of sport through film and television. 116 countries are members of FICTS Federation.
